Everything is based on ones opinions and not a false narration. This video examines the psychological factors behind strong political loyalty, using support for Trump as a case study. Based on findings from behavioral science and social psychology, it explores why some people continue to defend beliefs even when faced with opposing evidence. Topics covered include cognitive dissonance, identity-protective thinking, and social dominance orientation—concepts that help explain how people process information, protect group identity, and remain committed to a political worldview. This is not a partisan attack or political endorsement. It is an exploration of human behavior, showing how emotion, identity, and perception often shape decisions more powerfully than facts alone. If you want to better understand why changing minds is so difficult in politics, this video provides a thoughtful, research-informed perspective. Thank you for taking those 6+minutes to tell me how “stupidity” actually works😊
“It is easier to fool someone than it is to convince them they’ve been fooled” - Mark Twain.
The psychology can be summarized into one word: INSANE
For the same reason a battered spouse defends their partner, ignores , or hides their partners actions. For them to face it means they have to dismantle their whole life and basically admit they were manipulated and fooled.
You can lead a horse to water but can't make him drink, you can lead a conservative to facts but you can't make him think.
I can instantly tell this is an AI voice.
This happens all the time following events made MAGA change their beliefs: -Trump uploading his picture as Jesus. Deeply Christian MAGA now doesn’t care about blasphemy or sacrilegious acts -Trump’s covering up Epstein files or saying they’re not real. MAGa suddenly lose interest or deny they exist after preaching about it. -Trump puts tarriffs and taxes. Conservative MAGA suddenly think taxes are good and increased cost of living or argue that a tax magically lowers cost 😂 -Trump says no wars and starts many wars. MAGA suddenly justify how it’s good they’re starting wars after voting for Orange pdf to stop wars. -Trump skyrockets gas. MAGA starts saying b..b…b…Biden was over $5 a gallon as if that’s what they’re arguing about 😂 gas is much more expensive in general regardless. -Trump calls his supporters poorly educated or insults them. His MAGA fans start excusing it saying “he was just joking”. Like a person being abused. Countless more exampls
They’re also more likely to give money to rich pastors and scammers 😂
this is exactly how cults work. I've seen it coming since the beginning.
Yea, no. Don't give them that much credit.
Its like watching an abusive husband gaslighting his wife.
I was reading a couple examples of this on FB earlier. Someone had posted that muslims should not be allowed in the US, and a response was that "within ten years white people will be a minority". So there was a fear of diluting the christian majority and the white majority in one fell swoop.
In other words, they don't have the courage to admit they're wrong even when reality confirms that they are wrong. That's called cowardice.
A quote I heard … Before you get into an argument remember that A bee doesn’t waste its energy trying to convince a fly that honey taste better than shit … some minds are not ment to be changed , save your energy for somthing that really matters .
So basically, they’re animals with no inner monologue, no capacity for non-fleeting urges or deeper thought.
It's like a Mom saying, " My baby is beautiful no matter what".
It’s essentially collective narcissism.
I am beyond embarrassed to be an American it’s a lost cause at this point
It's insane how so many people need ZERO proof to believe a lie, but need ENDLESS proof in order to accept the truth.
Like Trump said “I love the uneducated” and they are very uneducated
