As the legal case unfolds, this breakdown focuses on subtle shifts in facial expressions, posture, eye movements, and emotional regulation to better understand what may be happening beneath the surface—without making any determination of guilt or innocence. This is a forensic behavioral analysis grounded in psychology, not speculation. The case involving D4vd—real name David Anthony Burke—has drawn national attention following charges connected to the death of 14-year-old Celeste Rivas Hernandez. Prosecutors allege a complex series of events involving a relationship, alleged attempts to conceal evidence, and a high-profile investigation tied to Los Angeles authorities, the Los Angeles Police Department, and the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office. The case includes serious allegations such as first-degree murder, abuse of a minor, and other charges, while the defense maintains his innocence. Nathan Hochman and prosecutors have indicated the severity of the case could carry life imprisonment or more if convicted. This analysis explores key courtroom moments, behavioral inconsistencies, stress indicators, and psychological patterns often seen in high-stakes legal proceedings. If you're interested in true crime, courtroom psychology, interrogation behavior, and real-time body language breakdowns, this video is part of an ongoing series examining some of the most talked-about cases in the news today. Something worth mentioning is he has this story about himself as a detective who solves his own murder done by his alter ego “Itami” which means pain in Japanese, So I get the feeling that he is living out his role of trying to discover the crime with everyone else and separating himself from “Itami”. Art and imagination is a forum of coping..but using it like that it’s just weird man what a huge weirdo.

He's calm because he has no intention of doing time. He's going to take himself out.

he seems litteraly insane. he probably WAS sane at the time of the murder, but afterwards the situation actually became real for him almoast like he wanted to be caught because hiding it was weighing on his mental state so much. almoast like he had some sort of high afterwards but after it reached the peak and the body was found, something must’ve changed in his brain to cause a dramatic shift like he accepted it and knows he’s not gonna be able to get away from it. i have bipolar, and this REALLY reminds me of when i have my euphoric highs and out of no where go extremely low, because when i’m IN my lows i tend to act the way he is in these clips to.!

Rest in peace Celeste 💔 she had so much life ahead of her. I hate that she was taken from this world by this senseless psychopath.

David desensitized himself already. He has no empathy. He doesn’t see himself going to jail because of his attorney.

Hi Dr. G! Apparently someone decided to come forward and talk! Thank God. He feels he is above the law! Smug, young, unemotional, confident in his "money" to bring him through this!

I see it as arrogance. The guy thinks he's untouchable. I disagreed, he appears hiding his feelings and he looks psychopatically calm, his eyes tell that.

Here’s my perspective on what might have happened: It seems likely that David’s team had already warned him about the relationship. At the same time, Celeste appeared to be growing increasingly frustrated and wanted the relationship to go public. This tension was visible during the livestream, where she openly mentioned that David was afraid people would find out he had kissed her, and he even asked viewers to delete recordings of it. It’s also important to note that Celeste was reportedly around 12–13 when the relationship began. At that stage, emotional responses can be intense and unstable, especially in a secretive situation. Based on David’s own social media posts and reposts, he also comes across as emotionally immature, particularly in how he presents relationships. This likely made the secrecy even more difficult for her to accept. According to the investigation, he invited her over before the incident. It’s possible that his team had pressured him to resolve the situation, especially since his career was about to take off with concerts and a tour. From a management perspective, they may have seen the relationship as a major risk that needed to be addressed before he gained more public exposure. From there, things may have escalated. If David is as unstable as suggested—and as he has hinted himself, including an interest in darker or violent themes, he might have reacted unpredictably when the conversation didn’t go the way he expected. What followed appears disturbingly calculated in parts, but also inconsistent, suggesting panic and lack of a clear plan afterward. He may have then tried to conceal everything from his team, which could explain why the act itself seemed deliberate, but the aftermath was poorly handled. With his schedule already packed due to tours and performances, he likely had limited time to respond. In the end, he resorted to what he knew or imagined—possibly influenced by themes in his own music and hid her body in his car.
