I agree with your assessment, however, keep in mind he is a performer used to being in the spotlight under pressure. To me, he’s acting calm and confident but not necessarily feeling that way.

Personally i think his demeanor is all an act. He’s definitely scared anyone would be having the DP glooming over their head. This probably caught him off guard he really thought nothing would happen because its been 7 months but now hes sitting in court. He knows not to show visual signs of anything. Personally i think He’s more scared of how this affects his career then his literal life being on the line. All i truly know is that celeste deserves Justice. That child didnt deserve any of this. She got no time to grow no time to change that was taken from her. This case is truly sickening and im sure celeste was not his first victim.
