I find it odd how his family monitored and censored music in the household but gave him free reign with the internet and other entertainment outlets that were sadistic.
My only issue is that we’re relying on him to be a truthful narrator of his life. He’s so grandiose that I wouldn’t be surprised if he’s twisting and/or changing history to fit how he wants to be seen. For instance, it’s illogical that his parents would forbid secular music, but allow him to read mangas in 5th grade, unfettered access to the internet, playing video games, and leaning into his love of gore.
