Poor Celeste. Rest in Peace and prayers for her family
What’s crazy is.. if she did end up exposing him, sure he probably would’ve lost his career but he’d still have millions of dollars, probably avoid jail time and live his life .. now he’s exposed as a predator, lost his career, and will likely be in prison for the remainder of his life.. smart thinking by this dude.
i feel like people are missing the point of this video. This is an analysis on what was happening/happened in Davod's life leading up to the murder on a psychological level. NEVER once does the narrator say that any of this -- his being homeschooled, his upbringing and childhood, the restrictions on his life etc, is a VALID reason for what he did or one that excuses what he did. He's saying these factors played a part for DAVID specifically. Just because YOU were homeschooled and isolated as a child and didnt kill someone doesn't mean those same factors wont play out differently for someone else. Watching the video in its entirety, the narrator did a good job of clarifying that. He never says "these are the reasons he did what he did and anyone else experiencing this same thing will do the same". He's saying that these factors played a part for HIM.
i actually think this desensitized discord men is way more common then we think d4vd just got fame and money and thought he was invincible
AMAZING DOC 10/10
I honestly don't think he was a psychopath. I think he was a narcissist who fantasized about being a psychopathic serial killer, but when he finally killed someone, the whole thing was way too icky and real for him, and that's why never revisited the Tesla to finally remove the body, because the whole thing caused him to shut down and go into avoidance. He knew he would get caught if he just left it that way, and he didn't want to get caught, but he didn't have the stone-cold psychopathic ability to shut off his thoughts and emotions the way he wanted to. He thought he was special and unique and above being human, but he's just regular guy who violently and selfishly chose to put his career above the life of a young girl, and he tried to refuse to face his actions because even for him, it was disturbing and not what he had cracked it up to be.
Mann i never realised how IMPORTANT going to school and making friends is until i saw this video
Genuinely where the fuck were the parents, that girl was failed
"no evidence of pedophilic conduct" almost 40 TB of CSAM material in his devices:
Childhood is crucial 👏
It’s kinda crazy he was isolated for most of his life but he talks with full confidence and never looks socially awkward
His headware often suggested that he is a severely demented human being…
18:25 the way his eyes WIDEN as he says “so I know what to expect “ is uncanny for me
I wonder what went through his head when he thought, "Yeah, murder is a better option to save my career than just coming clean and cutting ties with this minor."
Isolation, neglect from parents, too much access to internet without supervision, and no real social connections or relationships. Such a dangerous thing
As someone who went to the same middle school as David, it's both crazy and horrifying to think that someone I sat next to in class would one day go on to be decently famous but also fall into one of the craziest internet scandals in recent memory. I always saw him as just a kind of quirky kid (which most middle schoolers are), but I never really got any underlying weird feeling that would have alluded to what would later come. I see some people speculating that maybe his parents took him out of school because they saw some disturbing signs or that something happened to prompt that reaction. From what I rembemer nothing of the sort happened, but granted, we never spoke much beyond talking in class or passing. I have also seen some thoughts that his parents started homeschooling him because of their wealth, which I also don't really subscribe to, since the area of our school, towne lake area of NW Houston, was generally a pretty affluent area with some more regular middle-class neighborhoods zoned to the school, so he would have been around plenty of similar-income people/families. All in all, super crazy to think about, considering I totally forgot about him until another closer middle school friend and I reconnected in college and brought him up in regards to his music. Definitely makes me wonder if anything would have been different if I had a closer connection or kept in contact after the fact. ps. I feel like I definitely remember the cartel video mentioned, the one that got his gore obsession started, going around the school in snapchat groupchats and people just kinda putting a screen in your face showing something crazy. The whole video is an amazing showcase of why unfettered internet access can mess a kid up.
I think if D4vd wasn’t famous, he would actually be a serial killer. He would definitely want to know what it feels like.
A lot of people grew up having a horrible, isolated childhood and bad life experience, but they didn’t let it ruin or define their adulthood.
I tend to stay away from this type of subject matter… But this was legit one of the best, most well done video essays I’ve ever seen… This is the only piece of content you need to watch surrounding this guy and this case, rest in peace Celeste 🙏🏾
Honestly, this also shows how desensitised us listeners are to songs which explore weird, disturbing themes. No one even blinked an eye when that song came out. Not only from him but from other creators. We are too used to hearing such vulgar lyrics!
