This recording highlights insights from 𝗦𝗹𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗮 #𝟮 𝘄𝗲𝗯𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗿 𝘀𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝟲 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗜𝗻𝘀𝗽𝗶𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗛𝘂𝗯 (𝗡𝗜𝗛) 𝗦𝗧𝗘𝗔𝗠 𝗪𝗲𝗯𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗿𝘀, 𝘁𝗶𝘁𝗹𝗲𝗱 "𝗙𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗖𝘂𝗿𝗶𝗼𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝘁𝗼 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗳𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲: 𝗪𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗻 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗹𝗱 𝗼𝗳 𝗦𝗰𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲" which took place on March 3, 2026. 𝗦𝘂𝗺𝗺𝗮𝗿𝘆: This session featured four young researchers across chemistry, oncology, engineering, and veterinary science sharing their journeys into STEAM. The discussion focused on how non-linear career paths, supportive mentorship, and overcoming gender biases transform initial curiosity into professional confidence, particularly for young women entering scientific fields. 𝗞𝗲𝘆 𝗧𝗮𝗸𝗲𝗮𝘄𝗮𝘆𝘀:   • 𝗡𝗼𝗻-𝗟𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝗣𝗮𝘁𝗵𝘀: STEAM careers evolve through experience rather than fixed, early plans.   • 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗣𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿 𝗼𝗳 𝗠𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽: Visible role models and teacher support are critical for inspiring future scientists.   • 𝗘𝗺𝗯𝗿𝗮𝗰𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗙𝗮𝗶𝗹𝘂𝗿𝗲: Resilience and admitting uncertainty build more authentic confidence than perfection.   • 𝗢𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗕𝗮𝗿𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗿𝘀: Supportive communities help navigate gender stereotypes and structural hurdles.   • 𝗘𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗜𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗰𝘁: Schools and science centers are essential for sparking curiosity and breaking biases.
