Using satellite imagery I discovered what appeared to be man made structures hidden in a rainforest at the centre of an isolated mountain range. Curious to find out what could be built all the way out here I decided to head on a 5 hiking adventure through the rainforest to try reach it and explore it in person. Hello! I am a viewer from Taiwan. The portrait at 23:00 is of Chiang Kai-shek; I won't go into too much detail about his history here. As for the blackboard, the text on the far right says: 'Lanshan Work Station Forest Ranger Patrol Record for April, Year 78 (1989).' The rest of the handwriting is too blurry to read clearly. Btw, the place in the video was the heart of the former Taroko Forestry Station, which closed down back in 1989. I always watch your videos. You found Lanshan Logging Workstation. It was abandoned in 1989. It had been in service from 1933. It was owned by Hualien Port Timber Company. Directly connected to Lanshan Forest Railway Line. It was used for logging operations, featuring infrastructure such as the No. 1 Cableway. The line was abandoned in 1989. So, not that old at all.
Credit where credit is due - this channel is AWESOME! To find, travel to, and actually explore such incredibly remote, lost settlements is something almost unheard of, even on a platform as large as YT.

The man on the wall is chiang kai-shek a Chinese military commander who led the (ROC) republic of China from 1928 until his death in 1975.He was defeated in the Chinese civil war by Mao Zedong's communist party (CCP) in 1949 ,after which he continued to lead the ROC on Taiwan (reference WIKIPEDIA) they said he is the first president of the republic of China, so that place maybe existed before he died

It is absolutely MIND-BOGGLING to think that this place is only 30 years old. Heck, maybe less, that train's plate said 1998, I was just in high school back then, it doesn't feel that long ago. When they first started finding the tracks it FELT like it must have been 100 years old with how much it was all over grown and fallen away. INSANE FIND! Thanks for sharing this with us!

This is an abandoned logging Village. That being said there IS still one standing japanese military installation in Taiwan. It's even deeper in the mountains and besides live ammunition an original 1905 Russian cannon that was captured by the Japanese and brought to Taiwan can also be found there. It's called 華巴諾。
