The Martian book was very similar, the author puts a lot of work into understanding the sci-fi without suspending too much belief. It makes the future feel very grounded and I love it

I recently re-read this awesome book and, at one point, I thought Cleo would really enjoy this book not only because of its science, but also because of its optimism surrounding humanity's ability to use said science to solve big, existential problems. Glad to see this post!
