I lived in Grimsby for 57 years and worked down dock for over 20 years, so I've experienced the decline first-hand. It didn't have to be this way, but successive governments traded our fishing rights away, and now we're just a hub for overland fish (imported). I sold up last year and moved to West Hull. Hull still has hope, industry, and pride.
