This week we’re going international! 🇧🇪 We jump in the car, head through the Channel Tunnel and make our way to Belgium’s War Heritage Institute, where they’ve asked us to help get their Chieftain Mk 10 tank running again. It looked like a straightforward job… until we discovered the fuel injection pump was stuck solid! After plenty of head scratching, spannering and the usual banter, we eventually managed to bring the Chieftain back to life and take it for a drive. And while we’re in Belgium, we also get the chance to explore a fascinating Cold War nuclear bunker hidden away close to the museum. Hope you enjoy this week’s international rescue mission! I’m new this year to the channel and am so impressed by Mr. Hewes and his crew. As a former M-60A1 Rise/Passive tanker, I am so amazed with all the engineering and intricate ways these vehicles operate. As an 18 year old gunner sitting in the middle of Desert Shield/Storm, I always just thought of our tank as “home”, never truly realizing what a magnificent creation it was. Thank you for opening my eyes all these years later, and it’s an absolute honor to be educated by you and your crew!
