Many years ago Ford had two guys crisscrossing the county repairing 7.3 diesel water leak s. They had hair line cracks in the engine block by the oil cooler. They repaired them this way.

No such thing as a $100,000. In literally every single one of this guys shorts he says something to make himself look even dumber and more clueless than before.

That is old school, now a days is considered antique, but when you are a engineer with blue collar hands, only a few understand.

Its still done today can even send your engine to them to fix and yes I've seen it done to way more expensive engines

I was repairing cracks in heads 55 years ago using the technique , I didn't double drill them , just overlapped one stitch into the previous one

Chain-lock was the brand of plugs we used at the machine shop I used to work at. Fixed many engine blocks with them.

I've done that with heads and blocks there is no guarantee

Never fixed a crack by drilling a bunch of holes in it… 🙄
