That’s crazy. Hundreds of cars I’ve detailed and even built it into a business and not 1 detail didn’t require an angle grinder.

Few things to mention That looks like a diesel vehicle. Diesel fuel vapours don't ignite through stray sparks like petrol fuel vapours do If it was a petrol, then there's a leak within the filler neck/cap which is allowing fuel vapours to escape. That should be completely sealed, otherwise it would bring on an engine management light with an evap related code. It's not entirely impossible that the sparks from the angle grinder had instead lit the wheel arch liner on fire, if it was dry and not made of plastic. I say this because we can see the fire in the wheel arch too, which would normally cover the fuel filler neck and disregard a split hose which would leak petrol fumes (if it was in fact a petrol)

Should've had empty fuel tank. If not. Then used protection with caution ⚠️ Like i told my brother. If your going to fix your broken motorcycle make sure you empty your tank first before you do anything to the bike. His bike been sitting in the garage for years. Those gas are old.
