I worked at a jiffy lube a long time ago and we had some freedom to say the least. I had a regular that would come in when I worked(I dailyed a 74 4 door nova and figured I'd love his old stuff) anytime I hired a new guy I would have him bring in one of his old air cooled VW for them to do the oil change on and would stress HARD that the filter needed to be changed. Id let the new guy sweat for a long time 😂😅

As an ex former tire tech i did tires and oil changes my biggest worry would be putting it on the lift because becasue one displacement would bri g the whole thing down

It sucks to see such a corporate response from them. I don’t blame the guy either, btw. I just hope that anyone corporate seeing this realizes how big of a win this could be. You change the oil and all of a sudden you got the perfect “valvine can change the oil on anything” commercial. If you try and fail to change the oil, everyone would completely understand why and it wouldn’t be blamed on you. It’s a total win from a marketing standpoint. What a missed opportunity.
