Spectacular Drone Footage - 7 New Locomotives Arrive in New Zealand

Six Brand new DM class locomotives just offloaded at the Port of Timaru by Smiths Cranes and Construction, made their way north today and were quite the sight heading through Ashburton. Towed by an earlier arrival, seven in total! Built in Spain and capable of 120 Kph, the eventual fleet of 66 locomotives replace the aging fleet of DX locos which have half a century of service behind them. Kiwirail info.
