The fuck!?! How is a following a normal rule "the most devious rulebook loophole"!?! That's simply baseball 101, if you hit a ball and don't contact a base... you're out. Nothing devious and definitely not a loophole!!!

This is also why my favorite NBA team failed to win their last playoff series. You see, thanks to an old rule, there is a loophole where if the basketball doesn't go through the net you don't get points. The other team wisely pointed out that half of their shots did not actually pass through the net, so instead of scoring 200 points and winning, they only scored 100 points and lost. Good on them for recognizing the loophole, they really did their homework
