Roy and gary agreeing with each other but still arguing 😂
I can't believe you didn't put CLASH in all caps!!!! 😱😱😱😱
When I see poor teams trying to play out from the back like prime tiki taka I hope and PRAY they get caught out and they very rarely disappoint. Know your strengths, clear your lines
Refreshing to hear a couple of Englishmen and Irishman have a grown up conversation about scotland I thought they were fair and not patronising
None of them mentioned that McTominay was very underwhelming in this tournament. I expected more from him, based on his form at Napoli over the last couple of years.
This perfectly illustrated why Podcasts are far superior to live football analysis.... just as things are warming up and getting interesting they have to cut to a break. At least on the Overlap they can shoehorn those Vulgar Huel adverts in during a lull in the action
The demise of quality Irish, Welsh and Scottish footballers ties in with the flooding in of foreign players after the creation of the Premier League.
I can see David Moyes taking over. He's 63 now, he could see it as the best time in his career and life.
That backdrop is majestic
Gary is right, England would 100% struggle v Morocco and Brazil. They struggled v Ghana
I've said this on multiple videos but the Morocco performance was a national disgrace. Forget the early goal and the skill gap, the absolute sheer and utter passiveness was beyond acceptable. At one point I counted mcguin with 4 of his pals sitting inside the Moroccon half whilst Morocco played around the back, there was no press, nobody covered their runners and as they was sat in the opposition half without the ball, haikimi, the right back and no 2 for Morocco was sitting further up the pitch than his striker because there was absolute no threat. Meanwhile, cape Verde, iran, even Canada and USA are everything scotland wasn't. Committed, caution to the wind, desire, pride, passion and to play out from the back against brazil and then feign 'quality' is a national disgrace. The team should have stepped down before Clarke
You can definitely do more with that group of players. Lewis Ferguson is the only player who looked like he wanted to be there and take on the challenge. Nathan Patterson, Kieran Tierney and Jack Hendry also get pass marks for me. Our strikers were in a no win situation, they got no service. McGinn, McTominey, Christie, McLean, Robertson didn't do much.
Neville saying he doesn't know some of the Scotland players doesn't say much tbf. I haven't once heard him give any insight into anyone who isn't a current or former EPL player, except for the most well known players in the world.
Very few people expected Scotland to beat Morocco or Brazil. Tough group for a below average team like Scotland to get out of
Sadly I think Gary is right. Scotland could not just "give it a go" against Brazil and Morrocco. We do not have the talent and speed to play an opne game. Our Defenders and not conforable enough on the ball to build plays. Compact and playing smart on the break seems the boring but best option?
I don't know why Clarke didn't utilise Mbappe and Haalands firepower, even Messi should've been picked.
Ghana played amazing against England, Scotland gave up against Brazil it was pitiful
Gary admits he doesn't know anything about Scotland. Well I for one am shocked.
I'm a pretty depressed Scotsman typing this after those performances, but this spat cheered me up no end ! Thanks lads ! In your own way , you're all right!
I knew about half way through the Haiti game that we were done for. We needed at least a 3 goal margin against them if we were going to get 0 points from Morocco and Brazil. Clarke said after that game that people who thought that "didn't understand football".... he was wrong.
