Kumiko Suddenly Wants A Baby! Child-Free Couple Falls Out

Kumiko and Comic Book Guy live a peaceful child-free life and have no plans to raise kids at first. After trivia night, Marge invites Kumiko over to her house. Maggie cries nonstop, and Kumiko calms the baby easily with a soft Japanese lullaby. After bonding with Maggie, Kumiko gets baby fever and desperately wants to have a child of her own. She tells Comic Book Guy she wants to conceive, but he hates noisy kids from working at the comic shop, which sparks a huge fight between the couple. Kumiko breaks down in sadness. Jealous of Comic Book Guy’s worry-free life without kids, Homer teams up with Marge to reconcile them. They send Bart and Lisa to act cute to change his mind, yet it only makes things worse. Later, they visit Comic Book Guy’s childhood house and uncover his lonely past: his father missed his important baseball game, leaving him lacking parental love and fearing fatherhood. After letting go of his childhood trauma, Comic Book Guy softens his heart.
