One lesson I learned from this movie is that revenge can end up hurting the wrong people. I understand why the wife wanted to get back at the people who hurt her. She tried to save her marriage, but her husband kept lying, cheating, and spending money on his affair. She believed she was simply getting back the money her husband had wasted on the other woman. Even though her feelings were understandable, the way she chose to get revenge was not right. She scammed the other woman’s husband, even though he wasn’t the one who betrayed her marriage. He ended up becoming another victim. This movie also reminds us that when trust is broken over and over again, there comes a point where you have to choose your own peace. If you’ve done everything you can to save a relationship and nothing changes, it’s better to walk away than to let your pain turn you into someone you never wanted to be.
