Let this man work his magic! His love for dogs is off the charts, and his work can potentially save lives.

I have 4 dogs and I love all of them like they’re my kids but they are still DOGS whether I like it or not and I have to discipline them LIKE DOGS. I see absolutely nothing wrong with what he did here. He’s teaching her a lesson in a way she can understand because SHE’S A DOG! He didn’t hurt her or do anything mean! Him doing this and making her learn that the way she’s acting is not ok is SO MUCH BETTER than if this behavior was just pushed under the rug and she bit and really hurt somebody!!

I remember when dog trainers especially went after Cesar for being too rough. And now dog psychologists and behaviorists copy his techniques.

It looks like he "punched" the dog harder then he actually did. If the dog was hurt, she would have yelled or cried. He just scared her, put her in her place. The alpha dog would do way worse to other dogs to put them in their place. Would people rather she bite her owners or their kids? And then have to be put down? This is very strange behavior for a Labrador, but they are still dogs.

As someone who works with dogs every day, people do not understand that using “force” is sometimes very necessary to either avoid getting bitten or save another dog from being attacked. Most dogs will listen and stop when you yell, some do not. Some dogs literally do not hear or see anything when they are in a state like this, and the only thing that works is physical touch, like this. It isn’t nearly as hard as it looks and dogs are also tougher than we think. I have seen countless dog fights that look and sound brutal but when you get them separated there’s not a scratch on either of them!

Sadly, this is one moment where Cesar got a lot of flack from a lot of animal lovers. They thought he was way too harsh with this dog when she definitely had behavioural issues. Not common with a yellow lab but can happen. Resource guarding and/or food aggression is a serious issue.
