THAT'S NOT A MUNRO, THATS A GTO! (putting this in one comment to save you some typing)
There is a high high chance my brother assembled a part of that car and my mum did the QA on the wiring. Brings a tear to my eye, not my car of choice but proud we once had this industry.
I remember when a coworker bought the new Pontiac GTO. I asked why that and not other cars. "I only buy American." He was shocked when I showed him it was Australian. That being said, he did get it modified and tuned. It was fast.
Hey Blokes ! I work for Pacemaker, we've been making the best headers for Australia's best V8's for over 50 years (yes you can quote me on that).. get in touch with us if you're looking to do the exhaust 💨 - Ash, Pacemaker Brisbane
Both got V8s now, about time. Big thumbs up.
An actual dunnydore on MCM who woulda thought ken oath lads
Do you know how long most of us have waited for this video & it's only 17:49 minutes long!? Haha 😂 great pick Marty 😎🤘❤
HOW GOOD ARE MATES?! (ps get your mate something from here: /collections )
Cheers! Proud owner of a 2004 Pontiac GTO. I've been hoping you'd do a Monaro!
2004 CV8R, only 128 manuals made. The Pulse Red is a unique colour in the Holden paint scheme, it's on no other car. Just a De Fillipo full exhaust and tune, mine puts out 243 KW at the wheels. Done 245,000 klms - wonderful car. Enjoy
10:50 “I just want it on the record, those ford engines are indestructible” how is your 6 cylinder v8 going Moog? 😂
I have been watching you guys since you put a speaker in a Honda to pretend it had a turbo 😂. I love the content. keep up the great work guys.
Imagine swapping the ls in the Falcon and Barra swap the Monaro 🤯
Marty confirmed he does in fact own a Mercedes. 8:59
The LS1 only made 225kw at the crank when it first came out in Australia so 179.9 is great😂
I wanted one so badly when they first came out. I had all the sales brochures, but my wife insisted I buy a 4 door, so I came home with an R8 Clubsport...she wasn't happy. (I still would have preferred the Monaro) 😂🇦🇺
SHOUT OUT TO ALL THE HOLDENS BOYS!!!!! Good chance that I either; bolted the trans/gearbox to the engine, installed the engine wiring harness, installed the steering rack or installed the exhaust. Miss working on engine line at Holden.... ;( we all got a scale model of a Monaro and the collectors Monaro book.
Proud owner of a 2002 hothouse green manual Monaro for the past 17 years. I used to get a lot of negative comments from people years ago, saying things like “ it’s just a 2 door Commodore” I would always reply with “so the HK GTS was just a 2 door Kingswood then?” Most people don’t understand how much research & development went into making the modern Monaro become a reality. To be fair from the windscreen back the body is unique (not a commodore) but because it shares its basic architecture with the commodore upgrades to the drivetrain are cheap & plentiful. Looking forward to seeing what you guys do with this one, options are endless. Go the Aussie Muscle 🤘
so good even Vauxhall here in the UK imported them and put their badge on it.
That power is about what you'd expect. 245kw at the engine new, 180 is about right
