It doesn't detect a siren dude, it detects the broad bandwidth that emergency vehicles broadcast intermittently during transport or pursuit.

For everyone saying “it’s all shits and giggles until it detects people that aren’t there.” That’s impossible. Not just unlikely, impossible. It uses a LiDAR system. Essentially, it shoots out lasers and then when it receives the laser back after bouncing off the surface, it figures out how far something is, also being able to see the shape of the object. Hence it detecting traffic cones and cars, but not people who aren’t there. yay
