The court reminded him that free energy generators would obsolete the energy industry and disrupt global economy that’s against the law.

Why would you damage an alien reactor while it operating??? That has -10,000% scientific reasoning. In no world do you learn anything about a alien ship reactor by cutting through it.

I have never forgotten what Lazar said in an 80s interview. he said something along the lines of "there was a high rate of attrition of scientists from the program. Many had soon realized that our understanding of the physics was seriously lacking. They quit when they could no longer handle the knock to their egos." He also said that " many scientists were employed not for their scientific abilities but for their abilities to keep secrets."
