You've reached the end
I completely disagree. Cutting people off is sometimes the only way to get rid of toxic behavior. Otherwise you’re just encouraging it by continuing to be in their life.
sometimes you have to reward people with silence for their disrespect.
When I go silent it is not to punish. It is to protect myself, collect my thoughts and work through my own feelings.
Some people don't communicate because other people don't listen to them.
sometimes it is necessary to stop talking to toxic people or else they will corrode your soul. That is the only way to save yourself.
Sometimes people REALLY don’t deserve to speak to you 🤷🏽♀️
Sometimes the silent treatment is necessary if the other person instigates trouble or are always argumentative.
Sometimes, you're in a bad mood, and you'd rather keep it to yourself instead of infecting those you love with negativity.
I think it all depends on the situation, the context, and the type of relationship.
Silence is always better than any form of abuse to anyone you upset with. It's better to be silent than to talk bad. Talk good or remain silent. Otherwise you pay the price for your wrong words.
And sometimes that silence is your only protection.
SOMETIMES, YOUR SILENCE COULD SAVE YOUR LIFE. TRUST YOUR GUT.
Sometimes silence is the best way to set boundaries
sometimes Silence Is Golden and I sometimes choose silence because to try to explain to some is like speaking to deaf ears -they’re just NOT prepared to hear you out. EVER!
I'm using the silent treatment because I gave this man everything emotionally and now I have nothing left. I'm not using it to punish him, I'm using it because I'm done for good! There's nothing left to talk about.
My dad did this when I lived with him. From age 15-16 he wouldn’t speak to me. He was so proud of himself, bragged about how those 6 months taught me respect… It definitely taught me something. I learned that he was too immature to be a parent. I learned never to count on him.
Sometimes you have to cut them off for a while so you're not tempted to punch them in the face
I do it when I’ve exhausted the healthier options and it’s the only option left to keep the peace
Not gonna lie. I do this, not for long periods of time though. Usually less than 24hrs. It helps me to gather my thoughts carefully so that I don’t say something that I’ll regret in the heat of the moment
Maybe they are silent because they tried to communicate, but the person doesn't take ownership of what they do. It's better to walk away and distance oneselves from those kinds of personalities.
