fascinating! Interesting point to note, very few police forces around the world have a dedicated full time investigative psychology section/unit. One of the first full time IPS to be set up is the South African Police Service's Investigative Psychology Section. The SAPS IPS was founded in 1994, with its headquarters in Pretoria. The unit has trained other units across the globe including the UK

Hearing someone of her caliber acknowledge trauma for the professional and the need to put your care first so you can help others gives a sense of relief when you need a breather to work through everything before plunging back in. 💜

I was with my two little girls at an outdoor mall one day and we saw a girl of about 14 years old being followed by a man. After they'd gone about 25 ft the girl turned around and yelled in a very loud voice, "Stop following me!" She yelled this out several times. Every adult in hearing range was looking and ready to help her. The man turned, held up his hands like "Ok!" and went fast in a different direction. I told my girls, "And that is how it is done."

Stalking is definitely murder in slow motion. It’s terrifying and so insidious and so traumatic for very very long periods of time. Life shatteringly cruel to force someone to to live in incessant terror.. 👌 devastating what that does to a person.

I would have thought Scotland Yard would have been interested in this field much earlier. But it was Anne Burgess who essentially pioneered the field of study of profiling serial killers and serial rapists.

Oh, how I would love to do an interview! I was unknowingly married to a psychopath for 16 yrs. 135 out of 144 on the Psychopathy Checklist. He was such a master manipulator and everyone thought he was absolutely the best man ever. It has taken me four years of studying and learning about narcissism, psychopathy and behavioral analysis to unwind everything that happened. It is the most demonic spirit I have ever dealt with in my life. All while deceiving all of the family and friends. Get out at the first signs of red flags. Run and never look back. I will be forever watching my back.

It has always traumatized me that a person hurting animals was worrisome, but a man hurting his wife, or parents hurting their children.... we're always minimized.... how did we get there?

As a SA victim, it made me tear up to hear her refer to perpetrators as terrorists. I could never have described it more accurately, my life has been destroyed by that single night.

Honestly, it breaks my heart how Manifest and Receive by Eva H. isn’t getting the attention it deserves. This book changed me. I saw the channel on youtube and my mind was blown. People need to wake up to this. Things have been flowing. money, peace, confidence. Maybe this is your moment too.

Ms. Richards - Dr. Ramani, Dr.Lee, Dr. Carter, and a few others!!! All are National Treasures!!! (And they are on YouTube.) These intelligent, educated people have helped me to understand, and, I'm sure they have helped others, as well.

I work at a behavioral hospital with juvenile sex offenders. I prioritize documenting all strange behavior and verbiage for future cases against them, because I’m sure most of them will grow to be adult offenders. It’s crazy because some of them are so young and they are cute, seemingly normal kids but they’ve done some terribly heinous things.

Something she said about psychopaths saying anything to the parole board, that Tesla road rage maniac was sentenced to five years and served only ten months. He punched a girl in Hawaii and had a weird altercation with a woman in a gym. I'm sure he charmed he parole board, too.

As someone with a master's degree in social work, this woman's work, along with that of her team, has enabled us to improve our education, practice, and awareness of the world, and change our outlook on the issue of gendered violence over the years. I'm grateful for this. Thank you

For anyone not understanding: It wasn't even a criminal offence here in the UK to rape your own wife up until 1991. The Law stated that since she had agreed to marry you, she had permanently and irrevocably given her consent to sex. At any time and any place. The fact this horrible and despicable Law took so long to change is a reflection on us all as a society.
