Does anyone else feel calmer just sitting in silence with their cat, even without touching or talking?
The more I have to deal with people, the more I love my four cats.
Cats are remarkable animals and truly heal the soul.
Cats are spirit animals. They deserve all the reverence. My black cat rescued me when I rescued him. 🐈⬛ RIP
My cat saved my life. I'm not exaggerating when I say that. They are gods gift.
I love my 4 cats more than I love most people. No lies.
5: 48 – "Cats don't interrupt..." Apparently, the narrarator never had a cat walk across his keyboard while typing.
People underestimate the emotional intelligence of cats but they’re _extremely_ empathetic and in tune with their human’s feelings. I have PTSD and whenever it’s acting up, my cats will take turns sitting with me until I’m back to normal - even if that takes days. I’ve had cats my whole life and they’ve all been this way. Even though I work at a parrot sanctuary with some of the smartest animals on earth, I’m still constantly blown away by cats’ capacity for loyalty and love. …and the work it takes to earn their trust and form a bond with them just makes them even more special to me. ❤
As an introvert, I resonate with cats so much. We both need our alone time to recharge!
I got my cat as an emotional support animal while going through a really bad depressive episode in undergrad. She’s my baby. Saved my life.
My cat lowers my blood pressure. This was documented by the nurse who did my annual home visit.
Cat lovers tend to value emotional boundaries and quiet connection — it’s less about control and more about mutual respect and autonomy.
I have two cats. One always greets me at the door when I get home from work, no other times. He seems to know if I had a rough day and will sit on my lap. If I had a good day he just goes about his day. They are truly amazing animals.
Perfect for introverts
I always had dogs- I really liked that I could take long walks with them. One day a kitten followed my dogs into the house and took up residence... Long story short, my dogs have all passed away (The cats had good alibis...) and I now have 5 cats (strays and a former feral) and despite having been a dog person all of my life, I feel no desire to get another dog, and wish I would have 'discovered' cats sooner! (And 4 of them, including the feral, sleep in bed with me- and I've been getting the best sleep of my entire life!).
I would listen too music all day but a cat's purr forever
I like both cats and dogs for different reasons. I don't necessarily prefer one over the other. But I do prefer them over people. I'd rather hang out with a cat or dog any day of the week than spend time with a person.

My very first real conscious memory is being a child. In the middle of a huge bed. I woke up to a cute nose and whiskers in my face. I was under 2 years old. I’ve had cats all of my life. My last one was Chester. An English medium hair. He was my soul cat. He’s been gone for 3 years now. I still miss him dearly. He was my tuxedo buddy and.. I miss him so much. Cats make a difference and I’m grateful for God’s great gift for us!
My cats are literally the only reason why I have the drive to get out of bed. They are my world. ❤😽😽😽😽❤️
