But what causes it? And can narcissists improve on their negative traits? W. Keith Campbell describes the psychology behind the elevated and sometimes detrimental self-involvement of narcissists. Incredible video A month ago, my five-year romantic life ended. It truly bothers me when someone I love decides to end their relationship with me. Despite the fact that it's all for nothing, I've tried everything to win him back, and I can't picture my life without him. Despite my best efforts, I still find myself missing him and thinking about him frequently. I'm not sure why I'm saying this.

this is my elder sis and my dad. once, i was actually crying in my room. then i heard her laughing with my oldest and mom and saying my name literally. futhermore, whenever i hard a time, all she did was look and run away. and give excuses. for my dad, when i gave opinion for him, he would disagree and talk big about himself or other things. same like my elder sis.

Talking with trusted friends, counselors, or support groups can help you navigate relationships with narcissistic individuals.

This is honestly one of the most well-explained videos I’ve seen on this topic. It doesn’t try to comfort you, it just tells you what’s actually happening.

Interesting how narcissism is often misunderstood. It’s not always obvious, and sometimes it shows up in ways people don’t even realize. Conversations like this help people reflect a bit more on behavior and self-awareness.

I used to think I was a narcissist, but now I realise I'm just perfect!

One of the most useful parts of this video is how it separates grandiose narcissism from vulnerable narcissism. A lot of people only recognize the loud, attention-seeking version, but the quieter, more fragile form can be just as damaging in relationships.

I’m really broken right now… my ex-husband ended things just five days ago, and the pain is eating me up. I miss him so much, and every part of me just wishes he would come back and forgive me. I know I shouldn’t be saying all this here, but I’m truly devastated

Narcissism often isn't about truly loving yourself, but about frantically trying to convince the world to love a curated version you can barely tolerate.

Thank you so much for making this video. I have a coworker who fits a lot of the characteristic highlighted there and I gotta say, he doesn't deserve me. Thinking that a literal narcissist will deserve somebody who is the total opposite of one...someone who is EXTREMELY humble like me.....is like trying to find a diamond in a haystack.

To anyone who's suffering depression, anxiety, insomnia and other mental health problems, you are not alone. I feel you. You are so brave. You are doing so well. I'm proud of you. I'm sending you a virtual hug ❤ For me, it wasn’t therapy or meds that helped the most — it was reconnecting with myself. I started using the exercises in Shift Your Mind by Alexander Brooks, and it made me feel human again. The anxiety that used to control my whole day barely shows up now! 🙏❤

People with trauma often learn kindness not because they were treated kindly, but because they know what it feels like to be hurt, lonely, and overlooked. They give what they never got, not out of perfection, but out of deep empathy and survival. Their kindness is strength - built from pain, shaped by being lonely, and powered by the hope that others won't have to feel what they did...

I’ve always been curious about narcissism, and this video explained it so well! It’s interesting how there’s a difference between healthy confidence and actual narcissism, but the lines can get blurry, especially with social media. It really feels like today’s culture encourages people to seek attention constantly. This made me think about how we interact with others and how important it is to recognize these traits in ourselves and those around us.
