Saying Goodbye to Loki 💔 | Real Expatlife in Crete, Greece | weekly vlog

This week's vlog is a little different. Over the last four weeks, life slowed down unexpectedly as we had to say goodbye to our beloved dog, Loki. 💔 After a sudden illness, we made the heartbreaking decision to let him go peacefully. Anyone who has ever loved a pet knows that they are never "just a dog" — they become part of the family, part of your daily routines, and part of your heart. Loki brought so much joy, love, and laughter over more than 12 years, and saying goodbye has been one of the hardest things we've had to do. Because of that, things have been quieter around here, and there isn't a lot of excitement to share. But life doesn't stop completely, and slowly we're finding our way back into our routines. Photography season in Crete is now in full swing, and I've been fortunate to work with some amazing people in beautiful locations, including the stunning JW Marriott Crete Resort & Spa. We also spent an evening watching the RAF aircraft display over the Old Venetian Harbor of Chania, one of those moments that reminds you how special life on this island can be. As difficult as this season has been, summer has finally arrived in Crete, and with it comes a busy season of work, family life, visitors, projects, and everything else that makes up our life here.
