I finally made my decision about moving to Vietnam or not, Da Nang in particular. I decided against it as I have just found low income senior living in NY State (Buffalo so close to Syracuse!) at about $500/month so I'm good for the rest of my life but because of the winters here, Da Nang could be a winter hang out for a month or two. Still on my bucket list for sure. Love your channel!

I live in jungle, this is best place in Vietnam🌴☀️ No hot, chill all time,not noisy. I've been living in Vietnam for 10 years and it's very difficult to find a place where it's quiet.

Plan to retire early in Danang where I grew up. The summer is way too hot and humid though🥵
I've tried working from Da Nang on Pacific Time, and I just can't seem to adapt to the schedule. I end up working for a couple of hours, sleeping for a couple of hours, and repeating the cycle until I've put in my full eight-hour "day".

Oh the lake effect man I don't miss it. I have a farm in Ohio I'm retired, turn the farm over to my son now I spend my summers in the caucus mountains and the winters in Southeast Asia. Damn it is a tough life but somebody has to do it.

Places like that are a good deal on the surface, but they have compromises that a lot of Westerners can't live with. The major one being the noise level, because the walls are paper thin. Value wise, 2 things can be true. Da Nang is still great value, but its also much more expensive than it was 12 -18 months ago. There are city side condo's coming on the market now, that I was looking a year ago and they have doubled in price. The good beach side stuff has almost tripled.
