My New Apartment Sucks Ass

Travel and Events

Moving abroad isn't always a dream, and this week, I'm sharing a massive reality check from my life here in Da Lat, Vietnam. After renting a house that turned out to be completely unliveable due to noise, my landlord refused to return my deposit. Instead, I was backed into a corner and forced to accept this tiny flat. It's... rubbish. It's dark, dingy, and tucked deep inside a dense local neighbourhood where the houses are stacked right on top of each other. You can hear every single conversation, every business operating, and everything in between. But here’s the twist: it is technically less noisy than the house, so I guess I'm out of the frying pan and into the fire. Still, feeling trapped in a 3-month contract is an expat lesson learned the hard way. I'm finally realizing that sometimes you just have to cut your losses, let the deposit go, and start fresh. My goal now? Get out of the city centre and find peace out in the beautiful nature surrounding Da Lat. If you've ever had a rental disaster while living abroad, let me know in the comments how you handled it! Support the Channel & Connect ☕ If you find value in these videos, consider supporting my work so I can keep bringing you authentic content from the ground: Patreon: patreon.com/Tom_Greatorex Buy Me a Coffee: buymeacoffee.com/tomgreatorex paypal.me/ThomasPeterGreatorex SOL Wallet: 7MrDguLeVjgiTkpHXh6e8u7bNr418mgs5Y9uadpo7KpF Check out my second channel: @tom_greatorex Focusing on self-development, shadow work, spirituality, philosophy, and psychology. Contact [email protected] Expat life Vietnam, living in Da Lat, Vietnam rental nightmare, expat housing problems, moving to Vietnam, Da Lat apartment tour, apartment rental mistakes, digital nomad problems, cost of living Da Lat, Vietnam landlord issues, renting house in Vietnam, reality of living abroad, letting go of security deposit, moving to nature Da Lat, life in Vietnam, honest expat vlog, worst apartment ever, bad rental contract overseas.
