We have sailed in the Yacht Club 3 times. The Seascape is our favorite. We had an inside cabin on our 1st cruise. We befriended a couple in the Royal Suite. They let us take a tour. We had to hold our jaws to keep them from hitting the floor. Their bathroom was as big as our cabin!.
Loved your review. Very fair. I saw Meetooa, my mom’s butler in your video! The elevator perk is one of my favorite perks. Lol! Not for the speed but for the exclusivity. We did have to wait quite a while on occasion but we never had to worry about people cramming in like they normally do. Especially since my mom was on a scooter. I made the mistake of doing YC on my first MSC cruise and now I can’t go back!

Hi Shannon, thanks for sharing your experience. We took this same cruise—probably a week or two before—and really enjoyed it. It was fun watching your video and recognizing some of the same spots around the ship. Now I also have a better idea of what the Yacht Club side looks like. Yacht Club definitely looks really nice. A couple of my work colleagues did YC on the same cruise we were on in February, and they had great things to say about it. I can absolutely see the appeal with the extra space, service, and fewer crowds. I’ve never had a butler before—on a cruise or otherwise. That said, on our last cruise my wife and I were all in for about $2,000, including the drink package and Wi‑Fi, and we had a fantastic time. For us, I’d probably rather do five of those trips than one Yacht Club experience. Some of your shots made the non‑YC areas look a little rough, but I promise we were not suffering! Either way, I really enjoyed your video—thanks again for sharing. It was fun seeing some familiar sights and even a few familiar faces in your clips.
I agree with your assessment. The Yacht Club on the Meriviglia has shaded areas on the sundeck. The Yacht Club food on that ship was better tasting than another MSC ship that we tried. I found the food in the restaurant on the Virtuosa too European. For Americans, it’s best to stick to MSC ships that are stationed in the USA. The food meets our palate better. The special feeling that you experienced is real. My wife and I felt very special being in the Yacht Club on both ships which we tried to date. We would not travel on MSC if it was not in the Yacht Club.
Love Yacht Club and have sailed 3 times. BUT my last cruise, I noticed that the food served in Yacht Club was also in the main dining rooms. Also, no option for smoked salmon for the eggs benedict but they had it available in the main dining area. Did I feel slighted. I preferred the Sea Day Tour de Brunch to the YC dining, hands down. I really did not appreciate Eggo Waffles served in YC. I felt for the price, they could have had freshly poured and cooked Belgium waffles like NCL.

Excellent review. And very fair from all the other Yacht Club reviews I have seen. I am 79 and have issues with standing and walking long distances. In your opinion, would the Yacht Club take good care of me.?
