I'm doing this exact same cruise (10 day on the Joy) in July 2026! This was a great trip report and gave me some additional ideas. I took this for the longer port days, as many of the 7-day cruises have shorter days. This will be my 3rd time to Alaska, so I'll probably try some new experiences. Not that it needs to be that long, but as you mentioned the flexibility that it gives lets you do what you want at any time. Really looking forward to it.

Great video! You know I don’t like bacon either! I mean I can eat it sometimes when my husband makes breakfast but it’s not my favorite! He loves it and people think I’m crazy! Glad to know there’s one other person in the world ! lol! We are planning on booking on NCL to Alaska next year ! We love NCL!
That nature trail was my favorite at Icy Straight, felt like we were in the Hobbit forest. Also a cemetery right at the port, so interesting to walk it. If you have sun, the rainbows are stellar! I got a glass trout to hang on the wall in the gift shop.

Jason the salt rooms are great for inflammation in airways, chest congestion, also can soothe skin conditions. Im sure it does alot more but thats the benefits I love about them. Great vlog and info thanks for sharing love you both ❤
