Synthetic biology is reshaping evolution itself. From accelerated DNA engineering to laboratory-made molecules and the revival of extinct traits, researchers are pushing biology beyond its natural limits. This episode follows leading scientists as they explore new frontiers of evolution—and confront the ethical questions that come with redesigning life. Was really hoping they would actually go into depth about the actual scientific concepts behind these ideas
38:30 No doubt the systemic decoding of genes will be undertaken by AI;
This is one of the best tech documentaries I have ever watched; some passionate guests explaining how their ideas came to them; their inspiration! They were not siloed, they were cross-disciplinary! This is the true nature of the science lover. Always wanting to find out the why and inventing a new, better world. The doc never dives too technically deep, either. Even an engineer like me doesnt want to digest something technical all the time.
Synthetic biology first thing that came to mind is Blade Runner movie.
I want to see exponential improvements in biology similar to AI and robotics. Biology seems so much more difficult than computers.
