The Genetic Revolution is a compelling science documentary that invites viewers into the groundbreaking world of DNA manipulation and genetic engineering. This intriguing documentary showcases the innovative science behind genetic modifications and chronicles a diverse team of scientists from around the world as they utilize advanced DNA editing technologies like CRISPR in ways previously deemed unthinkable. With its exploration into the rapidly evolving science of DNA editing, "The Genetic Revolution" records pivotal moments in science that are set to reshape our world. This must-watch documentary provides a deep dive into the philosophical and environmental discussions triggered by these DNA technologies. These groundbreaking science technologies, such as CRISPR, have made editing the DNA of all living organisms, including humans, a more achievable task - almost as simple as editing words on a computer screen. The DNA manipulation explored in this science documentary holds vast potential: it could cure diseases, save endangered species, alleviate world hunger, and perhaps even perfect the human genome. But the compelling question that this science documentary poses is - will these potential promises of DNA editing technology be fulfilled? #documentary #science #dna #genetics #crispr ---- The universe is vast, much like our imagination. DNA is over-hyped. It's important for sure. But it's just the tip of the iceberg. The more interesting thing is how cells communicate and work together to form an organism. No one cell has all the information needed to form a liver or any other organ. But as a collective, they do. Cells communicate with one another through ions. Cells can even recruit other cells. There have been experiments done where gut cells of a frog were given a certain electrical signal through the cells ion channels and the gut cells set out to create a completely normal eye. This shows how incredibly flexible and adaptive cells are. Other experiments by the same group mutated a frog with an eye in the wrong spot. There was no genetic difference between the mutated frog and the normal one. DNA doesn't provide a blueprint. The collective intelligence of the cells provides the blueprint. This also has implications in cancer research. Cancer can be thought of as a result of cells disassociating with the collective cellular intelligence. Since they don't communicate with its neighbors cells, it goes and does its own thing that leads to mutations and cancers. Check out Michael Levins work on bioelectricity. It's a complete game changer.
What should scare you is that this program only shows you what is in the open.
When you realise any psycho can become a scientist, that the lab coat is not a symbol of trust, but a warning of a dangerous mind.
This puts a whole new definition to the upper and lower classes. Sick.
It's kind of funny that the elderly people are the only ones directly speaking against this change. However, I think the possibly for accidently trapping a human brain into a pig is horrific.
How come WARS AND GENOCIDE DON’T HAVE DEBATES ON ETHICS??????
The thing I Love about these videos is that the comments just add to the conversation
They speak of saving lives At the same time as scientist and world leaders are trying reduce our numbers.
Years ago I befriended a man who is a Physicist. He was basically homeless. I introduced him to a awesome friend. My friend put him up for many years in his home. Well this Physicist after 40 years of reseach he received his PHD. HE ALSO HAS A MASTERS DEGREE IN PHILOSOPHY. HIS RESEARCH IS INVOLVED WITH DNA REGENERATION HE'S NOW INVOLED IN CANCER RESEACH NOW. SO VERY COOL!
Wow frightening that this is allowed but when an herbalist, naturalist or nutritionist promotes natural healing they are often silenced
My son has an ultra rare neurodevelopmental disorder called Xia-Gibbs Syndrome. He's missing two out of ten letters on the AHDC1 gene. (On chromosome 1.) His disability is profound. I'm very interested to see where this tech goes.
These dudes give off mad scientist vibes.
Ultimately, the rich and powerful will abuse this against the masses
This is the kind of *great* content I want to see when I turn on my cable/satellite tv. Not reality show garbage, Ancient Aliens and old movies that were in theaters a decade ago. No wonder cord cutting is at an all time high. I'll likely be joining them. Smh.
And history repeats itself again
Many researchers in this area have come out and spoken against it. I was working in the cloning field manipulating life. Deep observation has led me to feel, we are interfering into species to survive.
Once you let the Genie out of his bottle there's no getting him back in. You've just got to hope that it'll be a benign Genie.
The way Dr. Olson explained DNA at the beginning was brilliant.
Those dogs break my heart.😢
Interesting how Russ was saying there were biolabs in Ukraine, and Ukraine was like "nuh uhhhh". Then this documentary literally says, "now he does xyz in Ukraine". The older generation always says no, the younger generation always says yes, and years later we see the negative impacts of hyper-digitalization has had on us. This will be our next whoopsie.
