31:00 actually it reached Herculaneum first at 1 am, then Pompeii fell victim to the surge at 6 am. Oplontis and Stabiae were also among the cities destroyed.

19:16 how could any one within 200 miles survive this destruction? Let alone the breakdown of society and the will to live... Who knew what was happening at the time? I'm sure people on Crete wanted to rush to the mainland to help out their fellow people/family but wow, what a grave mistake that would have been 😢
