I get some crazy looks during trivia night…”dude, how do you know this stuff?!”….instead of brain rotting, I try to learn stuff..

I was in grade school in the 60s, and I remember being told the way that Africa and South America fit together was just a coincidence. I remember being disappointed lol. Then in a 1980 geology class I found out it wasn't a coincidence at all. I have been in love with the process of plate tectonics ever since.

An old but truly brilliant film of our earliest beginnings. I particularly miss this 'old' production style with tasteful music, quality narration and sheer fascination at our earth.

From someone who, as a teenager back in the mid 2010's, was forced to listen to christian pastors try to genuinely convince me & a crowd of others on Young Earth Creationism - with the exact same sentiments that Archbishop Ussher was pushing back in the 1600's - thank you History Channel, for addressing that glaring shortsightedness of the church. In the first 5 minutes, even!

I loved this special and the series based on it, wish History Channel still did shows like this.

Perhaps, having my students watch this film, as an "introduction, of sorts, might be a good idea 😊 ...
