Carburetor sounds like it needs a good cleaning and a good tune up: Make sure the choke is wired in properly if it's electric, as that makes a world of difference. Eddie 4-barrels are rock-solid reliable when they're set up properly and are almost always trouble free. Also, top tip for Rory: Get Holley Retrobright headlights for the front rather than the goofy divided ones: Retrobrights look classic but are LED and wicket bright for night-time driving. Overall, though, no complaints from me: The Mustang looks spectacular with the new paint and is really coming along nicely! My personal pick is #3 for the stripes (can't have a green Mustang without White stripes, I'm pretty sure it's a rule somewhere LOL). Looking forward to more!

That export brace fitment issues are SUPER common. To fit it, 1. remove the factory braces, 2. support the car with jack stands at the rear of the front frame rails 3. install the brace loosely at the firewall 4. install each shock side. If they still arent allinging properly, have someone push down on the rad suppot near the headlight. Ive had to do this on multiple 1st gen mustangs.

1:45: have yall considered to see if any british ford cars used the same door bushings n pins to fix the slop? the hinges are usually salvageable with new pins/ bushings

Have you checked if this is flat tappet cammed yet? Because if it is a flat tappet engine and you don't have ZDDP (zinc additive) in the oil that engine will be lunched in 100 miles
