Das ist ein Hydrofoil-Bike (die Dinger am Ende des Videos sind von der Marke Manta5). Klar, es nutzt einen 2.500-Watt-Elektromotor, um einen Propeller anzutreiben, und Unterwasserflügel heben das Teil aus dem Wasser, um den Widerstand zu verringern. Sieht in so einem glattgebügelten Video natürlich extrem lässig aus, wenn man damit über die Wellen gleitet. Aber denk das mal logisch zu Ende: Du strampelst dich da auf dem Wasser ab. Sobald du anhältst, die Balance verlierst oder einfach reinfällst, sinkt das Ding ein. Viel Spaß dabei, mitten auf dem See im tiefen Wasser wieder auf den Sattel zu klettern und aus dem Stand im Wasser strampelnd genug Geschwindigkeit aufzubauen, damit dieser Hydrofoil-Effekt überhaupt wieder greift. Das ist physikalisch und ergonomisch ein absoluter Albtraum. Dazu kommt die Anfälligkeit. Das ist ein Haufen Elektronik und Mechanik, der permanent Wasser ausgesetzt ist. Wenn da der Motor zickt, der Akku schlappmacht oder dir einfach nur ein dummer Ast den Propeller blockiert, sitzt du auf einem absurd schweren Stück Schrott mitten im Wasser und gehst baden. Nichts daran ist robust, autark oder praktisch. Wenn man übers Wasser will, nimmt man ein Boot oder ein Kajak. Das hier ist einfach nur ein reiner Flex für Leute, denen auf ihrer Jacht langweilig geworden ist.
