Hello, I'm an Iraqi from Baghdad, and I want to tell you about some things the world doesn't know that happened during the American invasion of Iraq. First of all, you should know that Saddam Hussein was not a hero, but a criminal dictator responsible for the deaths of at least 4 million Iraqis due to his wars, such as the Iran-Iraq War, the invasion of Kuwait, and the Second Gulf War. Because of him, Iraqis lived in terror, famine, and other horrors. He would dismember Iraqis who opposed him and throw their flesh into fish tanks or dissolve their bodies in acid. That's why Iraqis were so happy when America came, and we thought they would help us. But it turned out to be otherwise. When America invaded Iraq in 2003, the people were very happy because they would finally be free from the tyrant Saddam. But the opposite happened. America began bombing Iraq very intensively, especially the capital, Baghdad. Because of this bombing, many civilians died, but the worst was yet to come. In 2004, a civil war broke out among Iraqis, a sectarian war between Shiites and Sunnis. The situation became so horrific that Iraqis were killing each other based on their identity. Just imagine walking down the street and someone comes along and beheads you for no reason other than being from a different sect. There were bodies everywhere. My father told me we walked on corpses like people walk on dirt. There were thousands of bodies lying everywhere, and we couldn't bury them or even go near them for fear of our lives. We could only watch as the bodies of our Iraqi brothers and sisters were eaten by dogs and other animals. And then an even more horrific tragedy occurred: the ISIS terrorists, who started blowing themselves up among people, especially Shiites. Many innocent people died because of these vile terrorists. The Iraqis were fighting more than one enemy at the same time. They were fighting the American forces that rained bombs on their heads, the terrorists who blew themselves up among innocent people, and their fellow Iraqis who turned against them because of the sectarian war that erupted after the invasion of Iraq. And the worst was yet to come. The fighting with America continued, turning into street warfare in 2011, and the sectarian war ended in 2012. We were overjoyed at the end of the war, but we weren't prepared for the end. In 2013, Iraq entered another war with the terrorist organization, or as it's also known, al-Qaeda. Almost half of Iraq fell into their hands, and a new war began that didn't end until 2017. These wars cost Iraq dearly, including the deaths of more than one and a half million Iraqis, half of whom were children, due to the war with America alone. The sectarian war also devastated the people, tearing them apart and filling their hearts with hatred and animosity towards one another. This is my story, one I witnessed and lived through. I know my message is quite long, but I hope you have benefited from this information. If you have any questions about the war, please feel free to ask, and I will try to answer them.

I am Iraqi. The first time I saw American soldiers was at the end of 2003. I was in school and the soldiers entered the classroom. They gave us pens and books. It was the first time I saw people with pinkish white skin and blue eyes who spoke English. There was a female soldier who was blowing up a balloon and then it burst, and the rest of the soldiers laughed. As for the last time I saw American soldiers, it was when my mother and I were going to buy clothes. A short soldier was standing in the middle of the street, stopping the cars so that the American armored vehicles could pass. I think they had begun withdrawing from Iraq. This was in May 2011 . I was there in 03 and again 2009-2010. I left nothing there the first time, and lost most of myself the second. I turned 21.22.and 28 in Baghdad.

It’s wild to end this with the toppling of the statue. Bush thought it was over then too. It was just the beginning, as I fear we’ll find a similar conclusion in Iran.

my father was in the Reuplican guard he said we did everything we can but the equipment was poor most of the RPG's were jammed , and he told me once when they captrue a U.S soldier they said he had a complete equipments like a bodyarmor and an medkits and an advance assault rifle and we only had a oilve shirt and an AK47 with only 2 Mags , he said then i left the army before the U.S army before they reach Bahgdad and retued to Bahgdad
