This is not nothing. It is a specific, dynamic state teeming with potential energy and governed by quantum laws. Virtual particles flicker in and out of existence due to quantum fluctuations. The total energy of this vacuum state can be zero, but its properties are very much real and active. The phrase 'from nothing' is used because it's more accessible, but it creates a semantic gap. The reality is far more fascinating: our universe likely arose from a fluctuation in this quantum vacuum, where pre-existing laws allowed for the transformation of potential energy into the matter and energy we see today. World without end. No one understands the mind of God or how it all started. However, we can speculate but we will never know. Just appreciate that we are part of this beautiful creation. Enjoy, live, and do what's right.
