I wonder of the narrator is computer generated. I applaud the coming of the "singularity" because if "something" more intelligent than humans is to emerge, then maybe humanity has a chance at surviving itself. As "Pogo" said: "We have seen the enemy, and he is us."
The fact that "The blorg flurbled the snorble thrungly" is grammatically transparent proves that natural language implements a syntactic functor that is independent of semantic content — and that is exactly what Lambek reverse-engineered from speach and what DisCoCat is trying to give LLMs as a birthright instead of a learned approximation. Humans immediately recognize the sentence structurally as something is acting on something else even if we don't understand what the things are or whats being done. The day is coming when machines will be able to talk reasonably about things they don't understand and it will come from reverse engineering us.
