Imagine being promised a well paying job abroad, only to end up being sold into labor slavery. In the shadows of Southeast Asia's booming cyber-scam industry, hundreds of Kenyans and Ugandans have been lured, trafficked, and forced by job agencies to work in Myanmar's notorious online fraud compounds, unable to leave, unable to call for help, and invisible to the world. Africa Uncensored's Moige William goes inside one of the most underreported trafficking crises affecting East Africa today. Through the harrowing testimonies of survivors and hidden cameras this documentary exposes the recruiters, the lies, and the criminal networks that are turning desperate job-seekers into commodities. For over eight months, we went undercover to expose a multi-billion dollar crime industry fueled by human trafficking and brutal violence. From Nairobi and Kampala to the "Hennin" and "KK Park" compounds on the Myanmar-Thailand border, this documentary reveals the faces behind the recruitment agencies and the survivors who lived to tell their stories. #Humantrafficking #modernslavery CHAPTERS: 0:00 - The Promise of a Better Life 2:10 - The Boom of Global Online Fraud 4:04 - Grace Ishiwani: The Trafficking Link 7:45 - Trapped in the Hennin Camp 11:40 - "Pig Butchering" Scams Explained 12:52 - Undercover: The Recruitment Agencies 15:21 - The Uganda Connection: Families Searching for Kin 21:08 - Why Myanmar? This is horrific.😢
As a Ghanaian American It really hurts me to see Africans get tricked like this The eagerness to want to work is sad to watch 😢😢😢 It’s so sad they have such good hearts to want to provide for their families…. But the jobs are NOT in Africa
This video hits very close to home. My cousin from Uganda travelled to Malaysia and later ended up in Myanmar. A few days ago, our family received a message saying that he had died, but we still don't know what happened to him. We don't know where his body is. We don't know how to verify the information we received. We don't know who to contact in Myanmar. If anyone has experience with cases like this, knows organizations, journalists, NGOs, authorities, or anyone who can help us locate his body and understand what happened, please reach out. Our family is desperate for answers and any guidance would mean the world to us. 💔 Thank you.
Please Africans WAKE-UP! Why would a company hire you as their Manager is there no locals to fulfil the position!
Even in old slave trade neighbours sold their neighbours. This time it is just sophisticated!
I know our government is involved but ju sina evidence wacha nitulie.
Thank you Africa uncensored. Job well done ✔️
Please people should follow government guidelines not through short cuts. Let it be government to government agreement only🙏
John is the one who told on Kwamboka having her phone
56 miljon kenyans kan not kick out one Ruto?!
Those agents should know everything they do is a seed they are planting and surely it will follow their childrens children. God is not a man to lie .
The heart of man is desperately wicked. The Bible says. So sad. Greed of money till sell people.
Times are so hard that we are paying for the whole trafficking process. Pretty sad.
Alfred Mutua and William Ruto are the culprits. They are the ones who are doing it directly!
This is quite saddening. It is a strategic move to deplete East Africa of its young and reproductive generation.
I travelled to Thailand, on tourist visa 60days, booked a hotel stayed in it whilst searching for a teaching job, did the English test, passed it. Finally landed on a job like two weeks before my visa could expire couldn’t change it to a non b work visa within Thailand so I exited went back to Uganda got the non b work viss/work permit and started working…I spent about 800$ so I don’t understand why people would trust other people to find them jobs they can find themselves..especially if you have money, you can do it by yourself. And yes Thailand isn’t just for prostitution 😂 some of us are working legally as teachers na😂😊🙏🏻 on the other hand I’m very sorry they went through this 😢
I have canceled my mission to go😢😢 Thank you for saving me
Ruto's voice at the beginning almost made me skip the video.
Ukiskia thailand,Lebanon, Libya, iraq pls dont just run take off
The greed these three traffickers have, it would be fair if they didn't ask them for any money
