I made my first collard greens last night but I wish I found you before. I used a ham hock and they came out SOOO greasy! I think smoked turkey legs would be way better. Second, when they say cut out the stems I think they mean to take it all the way to the top! There are some tough chews in there. Anyway thank you so much for your demo. 80 and still learning 😊

My Auntie used to fry collard greens. I never saw how she actually cooked them (I was a little boy). But they were soooo good with that flat cornbread, fried okra and baked chicken. RIP Ms. Lovetta Hawkins Johnson ❤

Looks absolutely delicious! Id love to try yours. I use bacon instead of turkey. New Year I like to cook. Ham, Greens, Black Eyed Peas, and Cornbread.

Looks great! Try smoked turkey tails vs legs! OMG even better! Sometimes I add a fresh jalapeno for a little kick and remove before serving.

Thank you!! I love collard greens yet haven’t ever cooked them. Today I decided to plant some in my fall garden and that way I’ll be forced to cook them and here’s this video. I can’t wait! ❤
