This was a good story. Never be to quick to judge someone. Obviously the father recognised something about the man and likely didn't take too long to realise who he was. He repaid the past kindness he had received and at the same time his family learned a valuable lesson. I would help someone who needed help but as a single elderly woman, I doubt I would invite them into my home. Calling the police would be dependant on the behaviour of the person. This story was really a matter of "Judge Not Lest You Too be judged". The father was able to help someone who had helped him and when the full story was known, his family learned the need for the gift of compassion.
