curry is so inspirational
Steph made two grave mistakes with this statement. First, he endorsed the entry of politics into the sanctuary of competition, and the banishment of those who don’t accept this or his precise positions. In short, he gave the finger to millions of devoted fans. Further, he declared the NBA as moral arbiters, a standard they must now uphold everywhere they do business, including with regard to China. This is very sad for me, since I was a huge Steph Curry fan, but is also ominous for the NBA’s business model. Second, he conflated the statement that Black lives matter with the Black Lives Matter movement. The former is a self-evident truth that deserves the attention it’s receiving. The latter is a socially destructive force that seeks to “disrupt the Western-prescribed nuclear family structure”, the very family structure that Steph & Ayesha Curry embody. The BLM movement also has many other immoral aspects, including that it doesn’t operate like All Black Lives Matter, only those lost to police. It is terribly sad that Steph didn’t use his platform to prod BLM to fulfill its name. Instead, he accepted their bait-and-switch.
