Apparently CRT is impossible to define, impossible to understand, but necessary as school curriculum. *Head explodes
Thanks for having me on guys, βtwas a fun time.
Sitch and Adam: "This foundational aspect of CRT is dangerous and insane." Sam: "I agree. That's not the CRT I believe in though." **Rinse and repeat for four hours**
TIL: βscience is using studiesβ and not a truth seeking method where you try your best to disprove your own hypothesis and when you fail you can claim a degree of certainty. The dude on the left just admitted that doing science boils down to finding the studies that agree with you and using them as justification.
ONCE AGAIN NO ONE CAN DEFINE CRT AND EVERYONE SAYS βoh that isnβt CRT!β Itβs a meme at this point. This whole thing is a joke. Maybe these two guys are the most genuine on the topic ever but Iβm so sick of hearing βoh thatβs not REAL critical race theory!β
Ah a short one, hopefully Iβll be finished by Wednesday this time
Adam and βnegative stereotypesβ is the same as Adam on βproductivityβ when he was into MMT. He just harps on the same words and doesnβt let anyone get in a word edgewise. Itβs torture to watch.
lol when the discussion with aydin got just as heated as the crt discussion.
If there is anything I've learned from listening to these CRT debates is that you should just skip the debate and ask the CRT people what their solutions are and start from there.
I work as a K-12 educator and 2 hours of my week is spend on Diversity Equity and Inclusion training. It is 100% woke CRT. Me and some of my colleagues call it our slow re-education.
"Post-colonial" okay, I'm checking out. This is mind reading of people from hundreds of years ago, as a monolith. Nobody can rationalize an entire group of people's intent. That's how prejudice begins, and can lead to racism. These dudes seriously need to stop acting like they know, when they don't.
I wish Adam and sitch had caught what was being said in chat about the disparity in sentences. When Adam asked about getting the "dealers" off the streets. And having harsher sentences. And Aarons answer was about finding social help for the users. And those with addictions. He dodged the dealers being the problem.
Watching Adam literally use the "Silence is violence" argument against Aydin was SO sad. I wish Sitch had called him out earlier and stopped him.
Oh and drop the "just comedy" shield Adam! You don't need it sir!
One of the reasons I left education was that I was strongly encouraged if I wanted to have advancement in the subject I really wanted to teach (read: required), which was history and political science (I was teaching special needs at the time), to get my ESL Endorsement. It was the first new endorsement I sought in about 8 years and I saw the value in it (my community I was teaching in saw a large influx of non native English speakers from all stripes, our largest population was actually from African nations followed by Latin American nations and Mexico). During my year long course, I was required to read pedagogy based in CRT and anti-colonial studies (I didnβt recognize at the time as CRT but I certainly do now based around the terminology used). I was required, on multiple occasions, to write my pedagogy based around how I would keep my whiteness from entering the classroom. I had to write papers on how I would encourage students to maintain their βnative identitiesβ and had to critique cultural assimilation into American cultural values. I had to describe how I would focus my curriculum in history education to extricate whiteness and give a prominent role to specifically female and POC representation in my classroom. When I had a discussion with the instructor about it, they told me βthat means leaving certain things untaught if they didnβt involve women or POC in a meaningful way or a large role.β I played the game, got my endorsement (the tuition was not refundable), and left education for good.

I swear to god I hear boss music whenever Aydin is coming on stream.
I lasted just over an hour, the whole thing is just a giant motte and bailey. All of it, its dull
Adam is so triggered about these negative stereotypes around 8:32:00 that it seems like he is less concerned with finding the truth and more concerned with his care/harm foundation while ironically having no care/harm for the person he's yelling at. He seemed super triggered that Aydin had the pure truth-seeker position which is just that she wasn't concerned with how people might misuse data that is true so long as the science was good. Or rather that she doesn't think that fear of a stereotype being generated should be a reason not to find the truth.
CRT doesnβt like MLK Jr. because colorblindness gets in the way of the grift. Dude says it: βR E P A R A T I O N Sβ
