As a BYD owner, I can add that at the time of delivery, I was explicitly told by the dealership that BYD doesn’t recommend babying the battery at all. “There are no guidelines from our side, please use the car/battery as you wish” - which is what you also said in the end. These batteries will remain perfectly fine for several lakhs of kms.
A few additions. 1. SOH was mentioned during launch - at 2500 cycles 85% - you can linear interpolate with current charging cycles. Mine after 22K is at 99.7% at 50 cycles. 2. To get cycles simply divide cum kw added with 79. Since battery capacity is 79 kw , charging cycle corresponds to how many times you added 79KW. It is NOT how many times you charged up to 100% !! Ideal charging is from 20% to 100% in AC slow and 80-90% in DC fast.
02:18 this is misleading actually. Charge cycles are not counted that way, if you charge from 80% to 90% 10 times, that is when it is counted as one charge cycle.

Like my office ends at 4pm so my running is around 100km a day for 20 days a month because of this i may have to charge my vehicle in day ?? It is optimum to charge in daylight , i do not have shaded parking as you know parking in bengaluru is a myth 😢😢

I personally have two black ev cars, one is nexon prime dark (lfp) and the other is kia Clavis (nmc) in black color, I think people should avoid buying black cars specially in lfp scenarios if they live in very hot areas, I'm from Rajasthan. The external heat drains my nexon very fast... Unimaginably fast during the day but at night it gives the regular range. Just my personal experience though
