Hi Dominic, as someone who is always doing like you and working on their own, do yourself a favour and get a couple of little lever hoist chain chain blocks, then hang your slings via them and you can quickly level up and make fine adjustments, saves a lot of jumping on and off forklifts ! Dominic, a handy tool for your kit is a magnet on an expandable wand. Very useful to get those nuts and bolts from confined places
Well done Dom, a milestone achieved getting the engine and trans in the Series 1, I’ve been racking my brain, every time I catch a glimpse of the red mini tractor, what it brings to mind, it finally clicked watching this episode, when I was a nipper in the late fifties my favourite book was Marmaduke The Lorry by Elizabeth Chapman, what a great name for your mini tractor “Marmaduke” 👌
I have to keep reminding myself I'm watching a land rover rebuild.

dom, i think what you are doing on the landrover is surely the best route. everything that makes it go and stop should be as good as possible,new if needed.. its whats under a body that counts!
