The sides looked outstanding! Rich got very little meat for his order of ribs, and it’s a shame Jen had to put cold sauce on her meatloaf to make it flavorful.
I used to work for Nutri system as a weight loss counselor, decided to try it for a month so I could be honest about what I was doing, and I gained weight! It's very processed and full of sodium. Good move to toss it. Intermittent fasting, once I got used to it, works so well for keeping weight off for me.
Thanks for your review! We ate there in early May & it was ok. I almost got the Meatloaf but I got the Tennessee BLT and I’m so glad after seeing that meatloaf!!! Our waiter was was unfortunately very weird acting. We were definitely worried about that behavior. I’m on the fence about going back honestly!
Have you ever been to Pearl’s Country Store and BBQ in Micanopy, FL ? Last time we went the line was really long. People from Jax, St Aug. and even further. Maybe next time you come back down you could give them a try. 😊👍🏻

Hope you enjoy your trip to Austin. I've lived here for 25 years and you WILL find excellent BBQ. The Texas Monthly BBQ ranking is pretty accurate, in my opinion. About 45 minutes south of Austin is Lockhart, a cute town with 4 major BBQ restaurants. Only the truly hardy try all 4 in one day! Enjoy!
The sides definitely seemed the best value too. The appetizer was skimpy. Should always be an even number. I think at a bbq the meat should be smoky or they can ask you what level of smoke you like. Great video. I love your honesty.

I am with you Jen, when I launch the boat or taking the boat out of the water. You are right when the crowds tell you to hurry up. Some people are very rude. We have a 25 foot pontoon boat. We are retired, so now we don’t have to deal with the people and go middle of the week.

I don't like squeaky green beans either! All of the sides look good, but wouldn't be able to eat those green beans. I bet they are frozen green beans. If your meatloaf and ribs didn't have much flavor, I bet the rest of their meats doesn't either. I don't like being disappointed when dining out. The banana pudding looks delicious. Glad the sides and dessert was very good, except for the squeaky green beans. 😂 Thanks for sharing.

Has Rich ever had the Texas Roadhouse green beans? They're soft like he likes them. You can google the recipe for them. They're amazing.
Probably shouldn't tell you this but Franklin smokers can even be shipped to the UK because a channel I follow based over there got one set up at their house! They love BBQ and all things American when it comes to food.
Rudy's BBQ in Austin might be a good option, though I haven't eaten there.
