We went to Captain's Fish & Chips in Brighton expecting an absolute winner after seeing their thousands of glowing Google reviews. We headed down to the seafront, super excited for some proper British fish & chips by the beach… but what we got was a huge disappointment. The fish was honestly diabolical, some of the worst we’ve had in a long time. Battered, soggy, and flavourless. Not what we were expecting at all! I was in Brighton yesterday and just had random fish and chips from the place at the entrance to the Palace Pier. Not greasy at all was probably the nicest I've had in a long time
