Ate at Pearl Morissette in February 2020 as a surprise gift. They called before we were about to leave around 7pm - due to a snow storm they’d lost power but were calling people who reserved that night, saying if you can make it we'll still serve you. Pretty white knuckle drive down with my fiancée blindfolded in the passenger seat, we were the only ones on the QEW for a while. Could not see anything, no streetlights, just open fields with blistering snow drifts. Finally find the jet black barn in what felt like the middle of nowhere. Even without electricity they did an incredible job and I don’t feel like anything was sacrificed - it was a spectacular experience from start to finish. I’m so glad they’ve continued to rise and grow since then and would love to come back someday, maybe when the weather is a bit better. Love seeing RPM get some publicity and will recommend it anytime it comes up. If you read this whole comment you should go to Quetzal too.

Just ate at Mon Lapin last weekend, and it really does deliver. The "leeks as mussels" was amazing. They also had a crab and bone marrow toast that was absurd decadence in the best way. Toast brushed with lobster bisque that you loaded up with snow crab salad and then literally scraped on roasted bone marrow. But they were also doing some great dishes with scallops and scallop coral, and the desserts are also bomb. They even did half glass pours of wines so we got to try nearly the entire BTG list. For two it was around $300-350 CAD.
