Whatโs your favorite Filipino fusion food? Itโs a fascinating (and perhaps redundant) question, especially given the rich history of the Philippines, where a blend of cultural influences โ like Chinese and Spanish โ shaped the cuisine as we know it today. In the Bay Area, where Filipino food continues to innovate, one standout is Seรฑor Sisig. This local Filipino-Mexican fusion favorite began as a food truck in 2010 and now has multiple brick and mortar locations serving up tocino tacos and tosilog burritos to its adoring fans. What Filipino fusion dish would you love to see make its way into the world? ๐ SUBSCRIBE for more Bay Area food videos https://bit.ly/2U0Wbkd ๐ ๐ฅ: Josh Decolongon #filipinofood #filipinoyoutuber #kqed ๐ฅ Join us on Instagramโก / kqedfood ๐ Like us on Facebookโก / kqedfood ๐ Follow us on Twitterโก / kqedfood About No Crumbs: In KQEDโs vertical video series No Crumbs, host Josh Decolongon is a foodie field reporter, uncovering histories and celebrating the culture behind the Bay Areaโs exciting and diverse culinary landscape. WOW ๐ฒ๐ฎ๐ฎ๐โค
The Philippines was once a state of Mexico; you have every right to eat Mexican food and adapt it to your local ingredients; it's just like any other Mexican food from an island state.....the best exemple are "tamales filipinos" that use rice instaed corn
Filipino food,...is absolutely a gift from heaven!!! Pancit and fried lumpia w/banana sauce! OMG! Only one I'm afraid to try, partially because even my beautiful pinai wife refuses to. And, this is the wonderful smelling, Chocolate Pork!! Nope. Sorry. Pass the banana sauce, please!๐คฃ

Funny, because we Mexicans, don't think about filipino fusion With our food ๐
Yay Seรฑor Sisig!
Here's what i don't get about my people; we always feel like we have to "fuse" with other cultures to validate ours. Let what we offer ride on its own. If it fails, it's because we fail to support our own.
