🌱 𝐅𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐃𝐞𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐝 𝐋𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐨 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐅𝐮𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐍𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐧 𝐔𝐠𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐚 🌱 What does real landscape transformation look like in refugee-hosting communities? DanChurchAid (DCA), with generous support from the Novo Nordisk Foundation, is proud to share a powerful Landscape Transformation Documentary from Northern Uganda. Filmed in Bidibidi Refugee Settlement (Yumbe) and Katrini (Arua), the documentary tells a compelling story of how vulnerable households - especially children, pregnant and breastfeeding women - are tackling food insecurity, malnutrition, and climate shocks through community-led, sustainable solutions. By viewing their landscapes as interconnected systems, communities are co-creating nature-based solutions that restore degraded land, improve soil health, and build resilient food systems through agroecology, kitchen gardening, and block farming. 🎥 The film follows a clear journey: 𝑩𝒆𝒇𝒐𝒓𝒆: dry, degraded land and chronic food insecurity 𝑫𝒖𝒓𝒊𝒏𝒈: hands-on implementation of climate-smart, agroecological practices 𝑨𝒇𝒕𝒆𝒓: visible transformation—healthier soils, improved yields, more diverse diets, and stronger household nutrition This documentary is more than a story of environmental recovery. It’s a testament to the power of donor-supported, community-driven action in fragile and climate-affected contexts.
